Marketing Communications Specialist

The Marketing Communications Specialist will work closely with Sales, Product Marketing, Development, Internet Marketing and Creative Services to develop new promotional marketing campaigns, sales tools, printed and web based collateral to support the client’s successful movement through the sales cycle.

Responsible for creating and executing customer-facing and internal promotional campaigns that ensure the successful achievement of the company's strategic marketing plans, the Marketing Communications Specialist will have the writing skills, creative experience, knowledge of communications techniques and the commitment necessary to manage a broad range of projects. This position will serve as the quality clearinghouse for all written communication to internal and external audiences. This position will be responsible for turning positive efforts of the company into collateral that can be used to grow the company. Collateral pieces may include white papers, case studies, web page content, presentation materials, brochures, newsletters and other ideas that would help us create awareness about our company and its offerings and successes throughout the world.

Develop product literature brochures and sales tools. This includes writing creative copy that addresses the features and benefits of our products while including significant technical content that helps customers in the buying process. Develop and produce copy for electronic and interactive communications such as corporate web sites, intradepartmental web sites, multimedia sales presentations, etc. Consult with internal clients to determine their needs, then develop and present the best alternatives to meet cost / benefit, budget, and corporate marketing strategy requirements.

Manage and coordinate writing projects, gaining approval of creative content, circulating the copy for review, editing where necessary. Evaluate creative for relevance to internal customers, conformance to branding standards in style, tone, and design. Examples of materials would be brochures, presentations, 3rd party partner materials, sales tools, web content and interactive CDs. Ensures all official internal communications and all customer-facing communications adhere to the branding guidelines. Prepares all customer-facing copy for final approval. Edits all internally developed projects for grammatical and factual content, and provides final proof of text.

Assist in writing Public Relations releases and editorial articles, develop article ideas, research, verify and approve all facts, develop copy and distribute to editors, Online Marketing Programs Manager, and other internal audiences.

Understand and apply customer knowledge, industry issues, competitive analysis, customer research and behavior data in order to develop effective promotional campaigns tailored to key customer groups to achieve the desired action / response. This includes integrating company brand positioning and delivering key messages to specific audiences, as well as writing and / or editing copy associated with a campaign. Conducts all necessary background research required to develop compelling messages.

Provide support to the Search Engine Optimization division of Internet Marketing. This includes optimizations and any other SEO related task that the SEO Services Manager may need assistance with.

Software Engineer - 6 Month Contract to Hire
This job requires an energetic, self-starter. The ideal candidate will be an excellent problem solver with the tenacity to overcome project barriers. Confidence, humility, flexibility, and excellent communication skills are important. Specific work responsibilities include the knowledge of Windows and Web development with Visual Basic .NET 2003. Development experience with Visual Studio .NET 2005 and SQL Server 2005 preferred but not necessary. While this position is a minimum of 6 months as a contract employee, JUMP may choose to offer a permanent engagement after 90 days.
